Requirements
Admission requirements:
National Senior Certificate (NSC) for admission to Higher Certificate study
OR
National Certificate (Vocational) (NC(V)) for admission to Higher Certificate study
Alternatively, a post school qualification may also be considered, for example, an FET/National Certificate, NQF (OQSF) Level 4.
Credit Accumulation and Transfer (CAT):
Allows applicants and students to transfer academic credits from one registered qualification to another registered qualification. This means that you may be able to use those credits towards the SACOB Higher Certificate in Applied Accounting.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):
Is a process that acknowledges and validates your prior qualifications or experiences as equivalent to the entry requirements for the Higher Certificate in Applied Accounting.
Through RPL, a selected number of applicants who may not meet standard entry requirements but who have a range of formal and informal experience and learning can be registered for the qualification. Applicants with formal and informal education and training, on-the-job training, formal and informal coaching and mentoring, self-study, experience, and in-house training are invited to complete the form below.
All experiences and qualifications will be reviewed by disciplinary experts or subject matter experts in the relevant field.

Assessment
Two formative assessments and One summative assessment. No exams are conducted, however, our assessments are designed to thoroughly equip students for the professional world and current industry trends.
Continuous assessment takes place to ensure that students perform at optimal levels and are able to achieve their academic goals for the duration of their studies.
