How do you qualify for exemptions?

If you have completed any previous studies then you stand a chance to receive exemptions. You can view your possible exemptions by visiting this link – https://www.cimaglobal.com/Starting-CIMA/Starting-CIMA/Exemptions/Exemption-Search/

 

What steps to follow?

• Get an idea of possible exemptions by using the above link
• Register as a CIMA student to receive your CIMA contact ID number
• Send through your detailed academic transcripts of your highest qualification achieved as well as a copy of your ID
• Wait for feedback which can take up to 20 working days
• Once you have received confirmation of exemptions you will have to accept or decline. Remember that although it is very exciting to receive exemptions it is also important that you feel you have a good level of understanding of the subjects you have been exempt from as it will impact your future CIMA studies.

 

What are the costs involved?

NO more exemption fees! All you have to do is register as a student with CIMA and pay your 77GBP registration fee (roughly R1500).

 

Why is this so significant?

In the past you had to pay your student registration fee as well as pay to receive your exemptions but that’s a thing of the past.

This makes the CIMA qualification more obtainable, more appealing and more competitive to other international qualifications.

It’s a savings of thousands and thousands of rands.
