Description
This is the third programme of the CGISA professional qualification.
The CGISA qualification prepares candidates to become Chartered Secretaries or Governance Professionals.
Chartered secretaries and governance professionals are highly sought after, with a broad base of skills.
With the curriculum covering governance, law, accounting, and strategy, chartered secretaries and governance professionals provide a focal point for independent advice and guidance on the conduct of business, governance and compliance.
Once completed you can move on to the Board Level (NQF L8). Here you have a choice between two different Board streams / specialisation:

Qualification
CGISA Occupational Certificate: Governance Practitioner NQF 7 (11 subjects)
Designation
Once all 3 programmes have been completed you will be awarded your Governance Professional Qualification and can then apply with the CGISA for membership.
Requirements
Successful completion of CGISA Programme 2.
Exemptions may be awarded based on equivalent studies / qualifications. Please chat to one of our Course Advisors should you wish to apply for exemptions based on previous studies.

Assessment
Venue based exams take place in May (cutoff date to book your exam 31 March) and October (31 Oct) each year.
3 Final Examinations, 1 per subject.
It's recommended to complete not more than 2 subjects per exam sitting.
What's next
You are now eligible to further your studies with SACOB and CGISA and can enrol in the CGISA Professional Post-Graduate Qualification: Company Secretarial and Governance Practice Board Level.
